We postponed the hike for a few hours and despite the gray, 6 Striders hiked 7 Islands on this lovely Valentine's Day. Our mission was to find a good name for Emily's new dog. I voted for Jolene.
Tree frogs were out in full force and we only damaged their habitat a tiny bit. The sun came out just as we were driving home..a good omen for next month, I'm sure! Next hike March 14 - mark your calendars & fingers crossed for better weather. March and April will be wildflower hikes.

Let's hike Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge (@5 miles) as an early start to Valentine's Day weekend (February 14th.) Dogs are allowed.
For those who like the multi-sport weekends, an afternoon bike ride may be in order..
Meet at my house at 9 or there at 9:30ish..
